"Once Angie left Jake's hospital room, Tad pointed out that his brother had been a different man since his return. Jake shrugged it off and chalked it up to having been kidnapped. He then said that he might want to stay guarded so that he could be left alone. Tad warned him against becoming a loner, but Jake ignored him. Instead, he asked how Tad's life had been. Tad told him that he'd become okay living without Dixie, but that not finding their daughter haunted him every day. He said that their daughter was proof he and Dixie existed, and that he deserved to have Kate in his life. They then tried to talk more about Jake's life but before he could get any substantial information, Jake shut down and turned his back on Tad.
Adam awoke with a start and was enraged to find that he had been delivered to Oak Haven. He raised his voice and demanded to no one in particular that he be released immediately. A nurse opened his door and explained that based on what he's said up to that point, his stay would be longer than he wanted. After she left, Adam ranted again about Dixie until she showed up on the other side of his door and tortured him. She found her way in and they argued as they had many times before about what-and who-was best for their son. When she'd had enough, she banned the topic, but Adam simply moved on and asked if she'd seen into Tad's room and how he acted with his current wife. Angered, Dixie gathered what powers she had and forced Adam into a chair with a pillow over his face.
Two orderlies rushed in and saved him from suffocation, but the nurse that followed said that she would talk to his psychiatrist about upping his medication. As they bustled out of the room, Adam made all sorts of noise about his refusal to become a drooling, medicated idiot. When he was locked in again, Dixie reappeared and he demanded that she help him get out. Dixie laughed at him until he said that he would help Tad find his daughter. Dixie demanded that he swear on everyone he loved, but he couldn't do it-so she abandoned him.
Jack pulled a few strings and gained admission to the jail and Erica after visiting hours. She asked if anything had happened, and Jack indicated that she held the answers. He then asked her what, if anything, went on between Kendall and Aidan. Erica tried her best maintain the secret that she held for her daughter, and told Jack that it was about a surprise bridal shower for Greenlee. She explained that Kendall and Aidan had worked late one night and Kendall hadn't called Zach to tell him that she would be late. Jack didn't exactly buy the story and told her that if the secret she held was something that would destroy his daughter, he needed to be informed.
Jack knew that his daughter's happiness was at stake and guessed that Kendall and Aidan had slept together. He demanded that Erica look him in the eye and tell him that he was wrong, but she couldn't. Erica quickly explained the circumstances, but Jack was at a loss as to what to do with the information. Erica told him to act as he'd always acted, and let his daughter plan her wedding. Jack said that he didn't want to be put in a situation where he had to lie, but Erica told him he had to think about two things-the truth or Greenlee's happiness-and decide which one was more important. Jack was still conflicted, and said that there was no guarantee that even if he agreed to keep his silence, Greenlee wouldn't find out.
Aidan arrived at Confusion and found that Greenlee had set up their dinner table with various gifts. She thought that she had managed to seem like her normal self, but Aidan quickly picked up on her agitation. Greenlee let go of the façade and told him that they needed to talk about kids and invited him to speak his mind first. He told her that he wanted to have kids, but thought that she dodged the topic before because he'd brought up the miscarriage she'd had. He told her that regardless of how it happened, he wanted them to have children. She then told him that she didn't want kids, and asked how he felt about that. She insisted that there were some women who are made for motherhood, and others who weren't-and said that she was in the second group. Aidan thought that she needed more time to figure things out or for her clock to start ticking, but Greenlee said that she had waited a while and it hadn't happened. She then offered him a chance to change his mind about getting married.
Upset at the suggestion, Aidan asked what had changed since the time where she was obsessed with having a child with Ryan. Greenlee explained that she didn't want a family with Ryan either-and that the lengths she went to were all to try to help him and save their marriage. Aidan then asked the question again with a slightly different spin-why was it that she was so willing to do whatever it took to make it work with Ryan, but with Aidan, she had no problem shutting the door in his face. Aidan decided to take some time to think, but before he left, Greenlee told him that she didn't want to lose him. After the door closed, Greenlee remarked out loud that she was sure she'd already lost him.
Ryan showed up at Fusion to pick up files for Annie. He ran into Kendall and told her that he remembered making love to Annie for the first time. Just as quickly as she pointed out that it was a good memory to have back, he flipped and said that she didn't need to be concerned with him or his problems. She reminded him that they were close friends and that she would always lend him an ear if he needed it. He filled her in about the date with Annie at the stables and confessed that his wife seemed to be headed back to the land where they were happily married. Kendall thought that he should be as excited about that as well, but clearly saw that it wasn't the case. He told her that although he could tell her everything about that day, he didn't remember being in love with her. He remarked that when the memories came back about Kendall and Greenlee, feelings rushed back in with them. With Annie, those feelings never came and he didn't know why they had gotten married.
Jesse stopped by the hospital and told Angie that he was somewhat concerned about Cassie. He reminded her that Cassie had lost something, and confessed to him that she thought he might have gone through her things. Angie chalked up her daughter's lost item to her lack of organizational skills and told her husband not to look for trouble where there was none to be found. Jesse told her that Papel never got what he wanted from him, and noted the possibility that someone could be carrying on Papel's legacy. Angie still resisted so Jesse restated his original concern about her daughter. Angie countermanded the statement and said that teenagers often created concern all on their own. They moved on and talked briefly about their wedding. He teased her some, but for the most part they agreed that they had all the luck they needed to have a wonderful wedding.
Robert invited himself into the Hubbard household, and completely ignored Cassie's obvious discomfort. He tried to ease her fears when he offered to share his drawings with her. Before they settled in, Cassie offered him a drink and when he agreed, she noted that she had to pull one out of her hiding place to share with him. She came out with two bottles moments later but before she could get glasses of ice, Robert injected her with an unknown drug and she fell unconscious. When she came to, she was chemically coerced into telling the truth. Robert asked her about the elephant and found that although she'd had it over the years, she'd lost track of it after the night they saw each other at the Comeback. Outraged, Robert pulled out a gun and demanded the location of the stuffed animal. He realized he was out of line and that she wasn't in any state to give him more information. He hypnotized her into a deep sleep and told her that when she woke up, she wouldn't remember anything about their visit.
As they walked into the living room, JR gave Barry some directives regarding his interim control of Chandler, and then sent him into the library to make some calls. Colby, having overheard their conversation, expressed her concern about their father's committal and when he'd be allowed to come home. Before they could delve into the subject, Stuart joined them and was surprised by an enthusiastic greeting from his niece. At that point, JR explained that Adam had been committed to Oak Haven. Stuart wasn't surprised and explained that Adam had tried to get him to believe that Dixie had returned from the afterlife. Stuart then spotted JR's childhood toy and thought that its presence made the possibility of a ghostly Dixie more likely. JR didn't back down from his belief that the toy was just another way Adam had chosen to torture his son. A short time later, with JR gone, Colby got ready to leave. Since she was running late, she asked Stuart to drop off Little Adam at Babe's and the stuffed elephant off at the Hubbards', and Stuart readily agreed. Annie spun her daughter around happily at home, and told Emma that her one-year anniversary with her daddy marked a new and happy beginning for their family. A short time later, a man showed up at her door and wanted to speak with Ryan regarding a personal matter. Annie got him to come in when she introduced herself as Ryan's wife, so the man told her that it had come to light that Ryan's vasectomy in 2004 was never performed, and that a class action suit was in the works. Annie was stunned to hear this, and to find out that Ryan could still have children.
Tad looked at his resting brother for a moment before leaving. He ran into Colby in the hall and she filled him in about Adam's commitment.
Adam muttered about not needing Dixie's help to get out, and was perturbed when he was interrupted once again by the nurse. She told him that he had a visitor, and Adam was surprised when he turned around and saw Tad in the doorway.
Across town, Dixie stopped by the hospital. She didn't want to wake the sleeping Jake, so she simply leaned over and whispered that he needed to stay in Pine Valley or he might never see his brother again.
After Cassie fell asleep, Robert heard a knock at the door. Stuart knocked a few more times, and inside Robert fretted over what his next move should be.
Annie ran over to Fusion, excited to tell Ryan the news about his vasectomy. When she got to the office, she overheard a conversation between Kendall and her husband about the possibility that he may have never loved Annie in the first place."
