"Tad and Aidan tried to figure out where Julia might have gone when she left the attic. Aidan told Tad that the alleged letter was a new twist in the case and he asked Tad why he wasn't tearing up Pine Valley to find the letter. Tad told Aidan that there was no letter and Dixie just told Zach that because she thought he was a hit man. Tad tried to convince Aidan that if Dixie could help Julia she would.
Babe continued to keep a vigil at Little Adam's hospital bedside. Dixie hugged Babe and told her that she was the reason Little Adam survived his accident. Just as Babe was leaving the hospital room to wash up, Zach told her that they had work to do. Babe told him that he was wasting her time, but he said that if she wanted to bury Dixie she would have to get her hands dirty. Zach briefed Babe about the "insurance" letter Dixie wrote and that he was sure it was stashed at the Chandler mansion. Babe informed Zach that the mansion was 10,000 square feet not including the secret passages, stables and the gatehouse. Babe told him that in the three hours of supervised visitation she gets each week, unless it was in Little Adam's diaper, there was no way for her to find it. Zach grabbed her arm and Babe pulled away just as J.R. and Dixie left the room. Babe told J.R. and Dixie that Zach was asking crazy questions about Di Kirby. The nurse gave J.R. release papers for Little Adam. Babe told the baby that she would see him next week and J.R. said that if there was no social worker there would be no visitation. Back at the Chandler Mansion Babe and Tad and Julia, not knowing the other was there, were in the secret passageways looking for the letter that Di Kirby had written.
Erica was very nervous about the debut of "New Beginnings." She told Jack that all she really wanted to do was hide in her bed. Jack told her to face the fear and that he and Lily would be there for her. Lily brought her a purple blanket and a teapot with all Erica's favorite herbal teas. Greenlee and Kendall arrived and gave Erica a framed picture of Miranda's handprints and a poem written by Bianca. Greenlee gave Erica a huge bouquet from her and Ryan and told her that Ryan was her biggest fan. As Kendall and Greenlee were about to leave Zach showed up. He handed Erica a gift of an engraved plaque with the words New Beginnings. Zach asked them why they were rushing this baby. He told Greenlee that she wanted a baby for all the wrong reasons. Kendall, thinking that Zach was about to tell Erica about the surrogacy, said she would rather tell Erica herself. Just as Kendall was about to tell Erica of the baby plan, Zach interrupted and instead told Erica that they were going to open a new wing at the Miranda Center in Ryan's name. Zach asked Kendall if after carrying this child would she be able to give it up?
Ryan struggled with how to tell Jonathan that he had a brain tumor. He and Erin woke Jonathan up, but Jonathan told them they had to go so he wouldn't hurt them. He begged Ryan to untie him and stop the ticking in his head. Ryan assured Jonathan that they would stop the pain and the voices. He and Erin told Jonathan that he had a brain tumor and that it had been there a long time. They explained that the tumor coupled with the anti-psychotic drugs were the reason for his violent behavior. Ryan told him to think about a good day where there was no pain or fear and that they could make him that way again. Ryan told Jonathan that it was a risky surgery and that he may die. Jonathan apologized to Ryan and Erin for all he had done and they told him all they wanted to was to have him back. Jonathan went to surgery accusing Ryan of trying to kill him."
