"Liza and Marian argue. Marian wants Liza to be completely honest with Adam, but Liza doesn't want her mother's advice. Stuart comes in and tries to diffuse the tension by offering to make tea. When Liza tells Marian to butt out of her life, Marian leaves in a huff. Stuart tries to explain to Liza how much she means to her mother. Marian cares for her the same way Liza cares for Colby. Liza loosens up and promises to make up with her mother later on. Later, Stuart finds Marian nearly passed out from drinking. She mumbles something to him about Liza keeping secrets.
Jackson and Bianca are having dinner together when Bianca asks him if he's still in love with Erica. Jackson doesn't answer that, but says he doesn't believe Erica can be happy with Chris. He isn't right for her. Bianca isn't sure. She likes Chris and thinks he may be the man for Erica.
After Kendall is released on bail, Trey pulls Mia aside. He is angry that she told him she couldn't get any more money from Liza, then here she is helping Ryan get money for Kendall's bail. He tells her the payment she gave him earlier was just a down payment and he expects more. Lots more. He goes on to tell Mia that he owns her and she better get used to it. Jack finds Trey still in the courtroom. He tells Trey he is hiring an arson investigator, whoever set the fire is going down. Trey looks worried.
Kendall shows up at Erica's hotel room door. She demands that Erica listen to her. Kendall swears on her life that she did not set the fire and claims she would never physically hurt her mother or her sister. Deep down, Kendall just wants to belong. She wants Erica to accept and love her the way she does Bianca. Erica is furious. She brings up all of Kendall's latest shenanigans from giving Bianca alcohol to holding a gun on Erica. Erica calls Kendall's remorse a phony act and vows to testify against her and see that Kendall is sent to jail. Kendall cries, "You are my mother!" As they both break down and cry, Ryan and Chris come in. Each defends the woman they love.
Ryan takes Kendall back to their motel room. He tells her there is no hope for a reconciliation between mother and daughter and advises Kendall to accept that. Ryan tells her that once she is cleared, they will leave Pine Valley for good. Kendall can't believe it when Ryan removes his wedding ring. He says he will give up everything for her. He asks if she will do the same for him.
Trey comes by to check on his client. He asks Kendall to have complete faith in him.
Erica remembers she has a stockholders meeting that afternoon in New York city. She is in no mood to attend though. All she can think of doing is running away. Chris tells her she can do both. He proposes that he go with her to New York, then afterwards, they can spend time together. Erica loves the idea, but tells him she can't leave Bianca at a time like this. Bianca overhears and says, "Yes you can and you will." She urges Erica to go with Chris. Erica gratefully accepts.
Mia accompanies Liza to the hospital for a checkup. Luckily, Liza is given a clean bill of health."
