"Kendall stood in an empty courtroom and imagined the jury handing in the verdict. The judge pronounced "Guilty as charged" and Livia had to hold Kendall up. Then the judge told her that the jury recommended lethal injection. Kendall came back to reality as she heard a news reporter outside the door describing the bleak situation. She sat down and Simone came in and sat behind her. Simone begged Kendall for forgiveness and Kendall gave it to her. Then Mia arrived and begged for the same, saying she was sorry for listening to Greenlee. She also said she was jealous that Aidan cared so much for her. Kendall told Mia that Aidan cares for her too. The three women made up as Livia came over and asked if Kendall was ready.
Jack stormed into Adam's living room and demanded information. Adam said he had no intention of incriminating Erica on the witness stand. Jack told him Erica was missing and Adam suggested he go find her. Jack refused until he found out everything Adam knows about the night Michael Cambias died. Adam said he would make himself look like a cross between Son of Sam and Jack the Ripper on the witness stand to help out Erica and Kendall. JR overheard this and said "No way, you're not going to make yourself look guilty." Jack left as JR told Adam he was going to the courthouse with him. Adam was touched and went to get the car. Babe came downstairs and asked JR to go to her OB appointment with her. JR told her he was going to court with Adam and Babe was very understanding. He left with Adam and Krystal came in, telling Babe she was messing things up. Babe told her she had everything under control. She told her mother that she got Paul to agree to do the paternity test and fix it if need be. Krystal was thrilled until Babe told her there was a hitch, that Paul thought he was going to get "lucky" with Babe. She said she had to string him along to get him to do the test. Krystal said she'd be glad when this whole mess was over and then offered to take Babe to lunch. Babe agreed and Krystal went to get her purse. The doorbell rang and Babe ran to answer it. Paul staggered in and grabbed Babe and kissed her.
Ryan found Erica asleep on Chris's grave in the snow. He finally got her to wake up but she was confused about where she was. Erica said she had been at her office "putting her affairs in order" and then came to talk to her mother and Chris. Ryan picked her up and said he was taking her to the ER to be checked out but Erica told him no, she was fine. Ryan told her to call Jack and let him know she was ok. Erica called Jack and he was thrilled to hear from her. He told her to stay away from court today and she said she was going to Myrtle's anyway. Ryan offered to give her a ride but she said she wasn't finished with what she had come to do. She told Ryan she had to put her affairs in order while there was still time and that included coming to terms with Chris's death. She said she had betrayed Chris by sleeping with Jack and then lying about it. She said she lied about it because she couldn't own up to the truth and that love should bring out the best in each other. Erica said Ryan knows this and that he's the only person she doesn't blame for keeping Bianca's secret, because he did it out of love for Kendall. Ryan said Chris loved and understood Erica, but she said "Understood why I betrayed him? I don't even understand it." She said she needed to fix things before moving on and that she promised to help Kendall. Ryan told her he and Kendall were over. Erica was stunned and said "You stood by her and she betrayed you. You know how it feels too." She said sometimes she doesn't know Kendall at all. Ryan told her he had just signed over the entire Cambias estate to Bianca and her baby. Erica was speechless and Ryan said that Bianca didn't want it until she realized it meant she could give Enchantment back to her mother. Erica replied "How thoughtful" in a deadpan voice. She asked for a moment alone with Chris and Ryan stepped away. She told Chris she had loved him and she knows now what she did was the ultimate act of betrayal. She began to cry as she touched the gravestone, then walked away. Erica went to Myrtle's, who offered to make some tea. Erica wouldn't let Myrtle leave her alone and said she needed her strength, to help her do what she has to do. Myrtle wanted to talk Erica out of doing what she had planned but Erica said this was the only way.
Aidan cursed his car as a woman showed up offering to help. Aidan was rude and told her to "bugger off." She told him to get a karma adjustment. After exchanging barbs Aidan ordered her to leave again and she began to walk back to her own car. But he stopped her and asked if she could loan him her jack. He apologized for being nasty and she told him where the jack was. As he began to work on his car the two of them traded insults to the other's gender. Aidan hurt himself and she ran to her car for her medical bag. He asked if she was a doctor, she said no, an EMT. He thanked her for her help and said he now believes in karma. She went back to her car and Aidan got in his. He listened to the radio report on the trial and was upset to find out Kendall didn't take the plea bargain.
Maria walked into Edmund's hospital room and found him on the floor. She ran to his side but he yelled at her not to touch him. She stood back and watched him struggle as he tried to pull himself back onto the bed. He fell back to the floor and ordered her to leave him alone. Maria left the room in tears. She returned moments later with a male aid, who helped Edmund back in bed. Edmund demanded to be alone and Maria walked out, devastated. Brooke arrived with chocolate croissants and a cheery attitude. Edmund said he felt like a sack of useless garbage when asked how he was. Brooke threatened to smack him with a bed pan if he dissed himself again. She said she could take alot from him but not self pity. Edmund told her there was something she could do for him. He told her to get all the information she could on his condition and every procedure Dr. Marshall had ever performed. Meanwhile Maria ran into Dr. Marshall and ordered him off of Edmund's case. He refused, saying only Edmund could remove him. Maria headed back to Edmund's room and saw Brooke leaving. She asked Edmund what Brooke was doing and he said he didn't know, he told her to leave. Someone knocked on the door and Edmund barked that he didn't want to see anyone. A woman opened the door and said "Not even your wandering sister in law?." Maria ran to her and hugged her hard. It was the same woman who helped Aidan with his flat tire.
Jack arrived at the courthouse and comforted Kendall. The judge arrived and the court came to order. Livia put Kendall back on the stand. She asked Kendall why she had intentionally misled the court into thinking she was married and pregnant. Kendall passionately said that whoever killed Michael did them all a favor and she was trying to deflect attention from the real killer. She said by pretending to be his wife she could give back everything he had stolen from the people she loved. Livia asked her to describe what happened the night Michael died. Kendall said she had stolen the gun from Jackson's safe and only loaded 5 chambers when she heard a gun shot in Michael's condo. She ran across the courtyard and found him shot and barely alive. Shaking, Kendall said Michael looked at her holding the gun and said she was too late but that he would return from hell and get them all. Tearfully Kendall described cleaning up the blood after Michael died and put the body and gun in a duffle bag. She said she dragged it to the car and took it to the meat packaging plant. Livia asked "So you did not kill Michael Cambias?." Kendall looked straight at the jury and replied "No, I did not." Alan Singer, the prosecutor, stood up to cross examine Kendall. He asked what Michael weighed. Kendall guessed 150-160 and he wondered how Kendall could have lifted that much dead weight by herself. She didn't have much of an answer and he asked who her accomplice was. Kendall looked into the courtroom and he demanded again to know who helped her that night. Reggie walked in the room and told Kendall to "Tell the man what he wants to know. Tell him it was me.""
