"Adam thinks Dixie's plan to give up Tad would benefit no one. Dixie realizes there is one person who could help Brooke, and she interrupts Edmund's dinner with his future in-laws. Brooke tells Tad that his word means nothing, it is the word of a liar and a cheat. Brooke physically attacks Tad when he tells Brooke that the baby won't make it. When Brooke refuses to return to Pine Valley to have the surgery that could save her life, Tad has Derek arrest her for her own well being."
